Stocks open positive amid low turnover
In the first one and half hour trading session on Monday DSE turnover dropped by 16 percent to Tk250.17crore
Indices of the both stock exchanges witnessed a positive trend amid low turnover at the beginning of the session as the investors are saving money to subscribe the country's second largest telecom company, Robi shares.
In the first one and half hour trading session on Monday, Dhaka Stock Exchange's (DSE) turnover dropped by 16 percent to Tk250.17crore.
However, DSE, the main index of DSEX rose by 11.46 points or 0.23 percent to 4,882 till 11:30am.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gainned 17.34 points to 13,948.
Moreover, Shariah index of the bourse gained 0.21 points to 1,123 and blue-chip index DS30 rose 2.18 points to 1,698.
Out of the 333 issues traded during the same time frame, 158 company's share prices advanced, 88 declined and 87 remained unchanged.
