Indian High Commission unveils special edition wristwatches marking Mujib Year
The watches made by Titan contain the portrait and signature of Bangabandhu
The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has unveiled three special edition wristwatches marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The watches made by Titan, a concern of the Tata group in India, contain the portrait and signature of Bangabandhu on their dials.
Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader unveiled the special edition wristwatches at the Secretariat alongside Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami on Tuesday, said a press release.

Later, in a press briefing, Quader, also general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, said Bangladesh-India relation has passed the test of time.
Stating that positive progress had been made on Teesta water sharing plan, the minister said many unresolved issues had already been resolved through talks.
The Indian High Commissioner said, "Although Bangabandhu was the father of the nation of Bangladesh, he was a hero to the Indian people."
Obaidul Quader expressed his hope that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Bangladesh on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Independence next year.
