Stocks fall amid low turnover
DSE, the main index DSEX fell by 7.99 points or 0.16% to 4,881
Equity indices of the country's two main bourses have witnessed a downward trend amid low turnover in the first one-and-half-hour of trading trading session on Thursday.
Subsequently, turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped by 13% to Tk168crore due to countries biggest IPO company Robi's share subscription is going on.
Most of the investors are standing in line to subscribe country's second largest telecom company Robi's share, according to some brokerage firms' official.
Following the investors' movement 128 companies share price declined, while 110 issues advanced and 80 issues price remain unchanged during the session till 11:30am at the DSE.
In this session, DSE, the main index DSEX decreased by 7.99 points or 0.16% to 4,881.
However, the benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gainned 1.80 points to 13,987.
Moreover, the shariah index DSES rose 1.26 points to 1,127 and the blue-chip index DS30 lost 0.93 points to 1,699.
