Stocks open higher amid surging turnover
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, upturned by 2.44 points – or 0.05 percent - to reach at 4,871
Bourses witnessed an upward trend amid surging turnover during the first one-and-half-hour trading session on Sunday.
Turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) trading floor rose 3 percent to Tk288.04crore during the period till 11:30 am.
In this session, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, upturned by 2.44 points – or 0.05 percent - to reach at 4,871.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has gained 62 points to 14,024.
Moreover, the Shariah-based DSES index lost 2.98 points to 1,115 and blue-chip index DS30 rose 4.26 points to 1,693.
Following the investors movement 133 companies share price rose, while 94 issues fell and 116 remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
