Banned militant outfit ‘Allahr Dal’ leader held in Dinajpur

A team of the Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of Bangladesh Police arrested the chief of the banned militant outfit 'Allahr Dal' of Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, and Panchagarh regions from Dinajpur on Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Md Sultan Mahmud Hasan alias Boro Manik and was held during a drive from Chirirbandar upazila's Binnakuri village of the district around 2:30am.
Later, Hasan was produced before a court.

He was a fugitive in a case filed under the Anti-terrorism Act of 2009, according to a press release.
A mobile phone and a CD were seized during the operation.
