Two Neo JMB members held in Dhaka
The police seized one laptop and three mobile phones from their possession
A team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) arrested two members of Neo JMB from Mohammadpur on Saturday in connection with recent IED attacks targeting police at Gulistan and Science Laboratory areas of the capital.
The arrestees are Md Mehedi Hasan Tamim and Md Abdullah Ajmir.
Police arrested them around 8.15 am, according to a press release from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Both the arrestees graduated from Mechanical Engineering department of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology. Mehedi and Ajmir joined JMB after starting university. They used to train at a remote char of Bhola in February last year. They started operating a military branch led by Jamal Uddin Rafiq, younger brother of Farid Uddin Rumi. The JMB members used to make grenades at Rafiq's home in Fatullah of Naryanganj.
Rafiq was arrested from Narayanganj on September 23.

On August 31, two policemen, including a security detail of LGRD Minister Tazul Islam, were injured in an attack at Science Laboratory area around 9:20 pm.
On April 29, two traffic police constables and a community traffic policeman were injured in a blast at Gulistan area of the capital.
