HSBC opens branch in Dhanmondi
It features a new queue management system that has been designed to enhance the visitor’s experience
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in Bangladesh recently officially launched its Dhanmondi branch on the tenth floor of Bay's Park Height.
A new queue management system has been designed to enhance the visitor's experience and reduce the use of paper tickets, with customers able to enter service request details via an iPad and generate a service ticket, read a press release.
Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, MP, Dhaka 10, was present as the chief guest at the virtual inauguration ceremony of the new branch of HSBC on 15 December, it added.
Kazi Sayedur Rahman, deputy governor, Bangladesh Bank and Nihad Kabir, president, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dhaka (MCCI) were also present as special guests along with Md Mahbub ur Rahman, CEO, HSBC Bangladesh and Ahmed Saiful Islam, country head of Wealth and Personal Banking, HSBC Bangladesh.
Addressing the ceremony, Mohiuddin said, "HSBC is a global bank and you get to see its presence almost everywhere you travel. The new branch in Dhanmondi, I believe will help cater to the community and allow the residents achieve their financial ambitions."
