BSJA Sports Festival concludes, Rakibul Hasan wins 'player of the tournament' award

The prize giving ceremony of the recently concluded Walton-BSJA Sports Festival was held at Shahid Captain (Retd.) Mansur Ali Handball Stadium on Saturday. The tournament was arranged by Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) in association with Walton. Sports journalists from different newspapers and media houses participated in five disciplines- Carrom, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess and Call-bridge. Rakibul Hasan, the sports editor of Independent TV, was adjudged player of the tournament. He was the champion of Carrom (Singles and doubles) and Call-bridge. 

Winners of different disciplines as well as the senior members of BSJA were awarded.

The chief guest of the program was F.M. Iqbal Bin Anwar (Don). Besides, Grandmaster Rifat Bin Sattar, vice-president of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation Khondaker Hasan Munir, general secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Badminton coach Wahiduzzaman Raju were present as special guests. The program was presided over by BSJA president Motaher Hossain Masum. Vice-president of the association Rayhan Al Mughni, convener of the tournament committee Abu Sadat and secretary Arafat Zubayer were also present.
