Police vigilant to safeguard people: RpMP commissioner
Describing the law and order situation, he said police have spared no one involved in drugs and crimes in the city
The police personnel have always been on standby to safeguard people and their properties, says Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RPMP) Commissioner Md Abdul Alim Mahmud.
He was speaking at a press conference in Rangpur on Wednesday, summarising the activities of the police force in the metropolitan area in 2020.
Describing the law and order situation, he said police have spa red no one involved in drugs and crimes in the city.
He presented detailed information of the achievements throughout the year.
The RPMP boss particularly mentioned that police stood firm against the mismanagement by the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) in Rangpur and filed a case against the corporation on charge of illegally stockpiling different items.
In the year, the policemen have cracked a total of 19 clueless cases, including murder cases.
Members of the law enforcement agency have been vigilant to foil attempts of sabotage acts and other crimes.
