Stocks nosedive amid low turnover
Turnover of the DSE fell by 45% to Tk630.93 crore during the session
Indices of the both stock exchanges nosedived amid investors selling pressure in the first one-and-half hour of trading session on Monday.
DSEX, the benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), dropped by 1.33% or 78 points to settle at 5,772 till 11:30am.
Turnover of the DSE fell 45% to Tk630.93 crore during the session.
Moreover, DSE, Shariah index DSES fell 8.51 points to 1,290 and the blue-chip index DS30 dropped by 40.70 points to 2,168.
During this session, 60 companies share price rose, while 216 issues fell and 63 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) dropped by 265 points to 16,806 till 11:30 am.
