Bangladesh, Windies players take knee in support of 'Black Lives Matter' movement
Windies cricketers started taking knee from their England tour back in July last year.
Taking a knee in support of "Black Lives Matter' movement has become a trend these days. Players from all around the world in various sports show their support by taking a knee before the start of a play. Windies cricketers started taking knee from their England tour back in July last year. They did the same in their New Zealand tour as well.
This time, Bangladesh and Windies cricketers, along with match officials and coaching stuff showed their support by taking a knee before the start of first ODI at Mirpur.
The Windies Cricket team have been vocal in this movement ever since the death of George Floyd in May last year.
Bangladesh returned to international cricket after more than ten months but rain halted the proceedings shortly after Mustafiz bagged the first scalp.
