Basa elects new president and executive committee
The 2020 audit report of the association and the 2021 budget were approved during the meeting
Bangladesh Administrative Service Association (Basa) has elected Kabir Bin Anwar, senior secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, as its new president; and Khalilur Rahman, divisional commissioner of Dhaka, as new secretary general.
During Basa's annual general meeting, the bi-annual election, and the annual meeting of the BCS Administration Cadre Multipurpose Welfare Association, along with its executive committee, were declared, including the aforementioned posts.
Administration cadre officials from across the country participated in the virtual meeting held on Saturday, said in a press release
Secretary General of Basa and Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Sheikh Yusuf Harun, presented the annual report at the meeting chaired by Senior Secretary of the Local Government Department, Helaluddin Ahmed.
Treasurer and Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Food, Khwaja Abdul Hannan, presented Basa's 2020 audit report and the 2021 budget, which were also approved during the meeting.
Several officials from different levels of the administration cadre gave speeches on the current and future programs of the association, stated the press release.
