P2P Fest: Building plans to home decors under one roof
Furniture such as teak wood golden beds attracted a lot of interest at the home fest in Chattogram
The P2P Home Fest - a three-day festival that begun on Thursday at the GEC Convention Centre in the port city of Chattogram, is offering everything from building plans to home decors under a single roof.
The P2P Family, a Chattogram-based business group that organised the fair, has set a sales target of Tk5 crore. The fair will conclude today. Consumers are enjoying discounts between 10 and 50 percent on various items at the event.
Attractive furniture such as golden beds made of teak wood, swings and sofa sets have drawn the interest of a lot of visitors. The customers are also happy to purchase the items of their choice from such a big collection.

Many even joined a race for taking selfies and pictures sitting on the swings. The price of a gold painted cradle has been set at Tk175,000, but a 15 percent discount is also being offered.
The visitors were seen swarming stalls which are featuring different designs of bed, especially beds made of teak wood. A bed made of teak wood painted in metallic gold is on sale for Tk140,000.
Visitor Iqbal Mahmud Dipu said, "We hardly witnessed any such fest in Chattogram. Everything needed for decorating a home is available at this fair. I am mesmerised by the overall planning of this event."
Another visitor Tahmina Sultana said, "This fair has everything needed for decorating a home for people with a wide variety of tastes. Besides, it is a good chance for customers to buy things at discounted rates."
Chief Executive Officer of the P2P Family, Md Fahim told The Business Standard that the company has brought products related to engineering and construction, planning and design, communications and events, furniture and experience centre at this fair.
"We have set a sales target of Tk5 crore. On the first day, total sale reached Tk45 lakh. The buyers placed orders worth Tk22 lakh. As Friday was a public holiday, a large number of visitors showed up at the fair."
He expects that their sales target will be met by Saturday, the last day of the fair.
At the fair, the customers were seen gathering at different stalls that are selling luxurious items such as bed sheets, sofas, dining sets, fittings, lightings, crockeries and clocks.
The organisers hoped that the port city dwellers will be able to buy all types of home decorations.
