Khaleda is not sick enough to be sent abroad for treatment: Quader
The statement of the medical board formed for Khaleda Zia does not match with the claim of BNP leaders, said the minister
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's health condition has not deteriorated that much to be sent abroad for treatment.
"The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) actually is doing politics in the name of her health condition" the minister said while inspecting Bangladesh Road Transport Authority's activities in Narayanganj today.
The statement of the medical board formed for Khaleda Zia does not match with the claim of BNP leaders, he added.
The medical board said that her health condition is well now and she is receiving proper treatment.
Addressing a question to purge in the grass root level, the minister said that a list of criminals, land grabbers, drug dealers and extortionist has been made in districts and grass root levels, so that they cannot enter in to the committee of Bangladesh Awami League and its front organisations.
He also said complete implementation of newly introduced traffic law will help to bring discipline in the roads.
Bangladesh Road Transport Authority Chairman Dr Ahsanul Karim, Additional Inspector General of Highway Police Barrister Mahbubur Rahman and Deputy Commissioner of Narayanganj were present, among others.
