Bangladesh, Maldives sign 4 MoUs
The countries signed the MoUs in different areas including fisheries, cultural and foreign affairs to boost cooperation
Bangladesh and Maldives have signed four memorandum of understanding (MoUs) to boost cooperation between the two South Asian countries in different areas including foreign affairs, culture and fisheries.
The MoUs are signed during a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at the Prime Minister's Office.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led the Bangladesh delegation while the visiting Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is leading his country's delegation.
Before the formal talks, the two leaders also held a tête-à-tête for some time.
Earlier, on arrival of the Maldivian President at the Prime Minister's Office, he was received by the Prime Minister at the Tiger Gate.
Earlier, on Wednesday morning, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih arrived home on a two-day visit to attend the celebrations of Mujib Borsho and the golden jubilee of independence.
Since the establishment of the diplomatic relationship in 1978, Bangladesh and Maldives have been working closely on bilateral and international issues.
Bangladesh and Maldives signed two MoUs during the visit of Maldives Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid in February this year, according to foreign ministry.
