Keanu Reeves will star and produce the movie and voice the character of B in the anime.
"Matrix" actor Keanu Reeves "BRZRKR" comic book will be adapted for both a live-action feature film and anime series on Netflix
Streaming site Netflix has secured the rights for adaptation from BOOM! Studios comic series, reports Variety.
Keanu Reeves will star and produce the movie and voice the character of B in the anime.
Ross Richie and Stephen Christy are set to produce for BOOM! Studios, and Stephen Hamel will produce for Company Films.
Netflix is yet to reveal any additional casting news or release information about the movie.
Comic book "BRZRKR" is based on an original idea by Reeves and is co-written by John Wick star Matt Kindt.
The first issue of the 12-issue limited series launched on March 3 and has already sold over 615,000.
The story of "Brzrkr" is described as a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior's 80,000 year fight through the ages. The man known only as 'B' (Reeves) is half-mortal and half-god, cursed and compelled to violence even at the sacrifice of his sanity
The retro action stylings of BRZRKR fit perfectly with the brand Reeves has cultivated in recent years, and the character of B even seems in many ways like an immortal version of John Wick.
