Bangladesh sees highest ever power generation
Bangladesh has touched a new high in power generation at 9pm tonight.
The power plants produced record 13,018 megawatt (MW) electricity, according to the Power Development Board (PDB).
However, people faced load-shedding at many places, including Dhaka, today.
PDB said, country's power generation capacity is now around 25,000 MW.
The regular demand of electricity fluctuates between 11,000 to 11,500 MW, while it goes down to 7,500 to 8,000 MW during winter.
Earlier on 6 September last year, record 12,892 MW power was generated.
