CU postpones admission application process
The Chattogram University will announce a fresh date after the seven-day national lockdown beginning on Monday
The Chattogram University (CU) authorities have postponed the online application process, which was scheduled to start on Monday, forthe first-year honours admission tests under the academic session 2020-21.
CU acting registrar Professor SM Monirul Hasan confirmed the matter to The Business Standard on Sunday.
He said that the application process has been postponed following the declaration of the week-longnational lockdown from Monday.
"It will not be possible to work in the office due to the lockdown. So, we will announce a new date after the lockdown as we have enough time," Hasan added.
Earlier, as per the decision of the admission committee, the application process for the admission test was supposed to start on 5 April.
According to the schedule, examinations of 'B' unit will be held on 22nd and 23rd June, 'D' unit on 24th and 25th June, 'A' unit on 28th and 29th June and 'C' unit on 30th June. Besides, examinations of sub-units 'B-1' and 'D-1' will be held on 1 July.
The Chattogram University has 48 departments and six institutes and students compete for some 4,926 seats in total.
