Cyclone Bulbul: 64 fishermen missing in the Bay

At least 64 fishermen of seven fishing boats went missing in the Bay of Bengal on Saturday after they ventured into the deep sea ignoring the cyclone warning.
Sultan Farazi, chairman of the Sonakata Union of Borguna's Taltali upazila confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
"One trawler from Sonakata union and five from Nishanbaria union went missing with 48 fishermen," he said.
Borguna district Trawler Owners' Association President Mostafa Chowdhury told The Business Standard that 16 more fishermen from Nali village of Borguna Sadar upazila went missing as well.
"Fishermen of at least 600 fishing boats took shelter in Patharghata upazila. Some took shelter inside the canals of Sundarbans," he added.
It's been raining in Borguna due to cyclone Bulbul. Deputy commissioner Mostain Billah said that 509 cyclone shelters are prepared in the district.
