Imran made Bangladesh HC to India, Nazrul new ambassador to Bahrain
Both individuals are career foreign service officers
The government has appointed Muhammad Imran, currently serving as Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates, as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India; and Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, who is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Mission at Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh, as the new Bangladesh Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Both individuals are career foreign service officers. Imran belongs to the 1986 batch of
Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre; and Dr Islam officer belongs to the 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre, said a foreign ministry press release.
During his diplomatic career, Muhammad Imran served as Ambassador of Bangladesh to
Uzbekistan. He also worked in various capacities at Bangladesh Missions in Jeddah, Bonn, Berlin and Ottawa as well as Deputy High Commissioner at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata.
Dr Nazrul Islam worked in various capacities at the headquarters in Dhaka as well as Bangladesh Missions in South Korea, Australia, Iraq and Lebanon. He also served as Deputy Permanent Representative to the OIC.
