Here are 10 individuals from all across the globe who have embraced all their rare characteristics that are exceptionally unique.

1. The boy who can see in the dark
Nong Youhui, a boy born in Southern China, has the ability to see in the dark. The condition is called Leukoderma and allows him to see as clearly during night time as he would during the day. Unfortunately, this also means his eyes are ultra sensitive to light. People who are aware of Youhui's condition fondly call him "cat-eye."

2. ​The model with the ocean eyes
Jalicia Nightengale was born with one of the most extraordinary pairs of icy-blue eyes. With her rich complexion, the blue eyes stand out even more; creating one of the most breathtaking looks in the modelling world. Like many others, Nightengale grew up bullied because of her usual appearance but eventually was able to grow out of the negative narrative and love herself for her uniqueness.

3. A face that's only half white
Victoria Krus was born with vitiligo. What's unique about her particular case is how it only affects half of her face. When vitiligo only appears on one side of the body, the condition then is referred to as "Unilateral Vitiligo." She too grew up unappreciative of her looks until she eventually fell in love with it and since then has taken the world of modelling by storm.

4. The little lioness
Shilah Madison was born with a condition because of which her hair constantly stands up. Although it makes her look like a lioness, the "Uncomfortable hair syndrome" is quite painful and the hair often breaks off from the roots, explains her mother. But regardless of her rare condition, Madison is as fearless as ever and by the looks of it, she has come to embrace her individuality as well.

5. The ones with the webbed fingers

Webbed fingers? Many think that they only exist in the movies. Although, contrary to popular belief, 1 in 2000 children are born with webbed fingers every year. The condition is called "Syndactyly" and is a lot more common than we have led ourselves to believe.

6. ​The girl gifted with an Elf-Like Appearance
Youtube personality, Stef Sanjati was born with a rare condition called Waardenburg Syndrome. It is a genetic mutation which gives the individual wide-set eyes and increases the possibility of becoming deaf. This condition is seen in 1 out of every 40,000 individuals. Sanjati has positively used her platform to raise awareness and educate people on this topic.

7.  The Melanin Goddess
Khoudia Diop is a model from Senegal. Like most models, she is absolutely stunning but what is it that sets her part of others? Her deeply rich skin tone filled with melanin so much so that she has been referred to as "A Goddess of Melanin." Although this skin tone is not uncommon in Senegal, she has faced bullying and criticism over her complexion as a child. But how the tables have turned, Diop is now one of the most celebrated models on a global scale and to those facing similar decrimination, she says, "Beauty is not what's outside, it's who you are. What's inside is your true essence, and beauty comes from within."

8.  ​The model with Freckles
Hamad Jaman, like many of us, grew up with freckles. But in his case, the freckles on his face kept multiplying over the years until it fully covered his entire face. There is a theory which suggests that sun exposure is what caused it to spread so much but no matter what the cause, Jaman looks stunningly handsome with his unique facial features.

9. The wondrous abilities of the ones with backwards hands
I am sure you have heard of double jointed people but have you heard of hypermobility and the abilities of those who have this condition? Here's how it works; those with hypermobility are able to bend their hands all the way back. But it does not stop there, they are also able to grab things with their hands folded backwards if they please! Much like the other conditions on this list, hypermobility is also very rare, occurring in only 5% of the adult population of the world.

10.  Challenging Gender Boundaries
Harnaam Kaur, is an English Activist with polycystic ovary syndrome born into a traditional Punjabi family. One of the effects of this syndrome as seen in individuals is an accelerated rate of facial hair growth. Living by strict cultural beauty standards is hard as it is but with added challenges as such, it can be rather harsh. But not only has she accepted these challenges but Kaur has also become a strong voice within the community known for breaking gender norms by growing a full beard. She embraced self-love full on and has become an inspiration for many across the world.
