The Attempted Band releases ‘Doura Picchi’ on streaming platforms
Doura Picchi EP was recorded remotely across the world
The Attempted Band released "Doura Picchi" extended play (EP) on 28 February through Mothership Records.
The EP consists of three songs: "Molecule Khondokar", "Doura Picchi" and "Jodi Bolo Ha".
"Molecule Khondokar" is about a middle-aged man who builds a spaceship in his Potuatoli apartment. "Doura Picchi" talks about love, loss, and the grief of separation while "Jodi Bolo Ha" is a cover of Chandrabindoo's 1997 classic, reads a press release.
"We have always had a problem with piracy," said Jason Cammarata. "And the problem is that nobody pirates our music! So, we will release all our source tracks in hopes that it is easier to steal if someone ever wanted to."
The Attempted Band was formed in 1995 in Dhaka when three Sunnydale O' Level candidates believed that inexpertly performed rock music would help them find romantic partners. In some ways, Doura Picchi EP conclusively answers the foundational question by saying, "No, members of The Attempted Band, you will never find a sustainable romantic relationship!"
Doura Picchi EP was recorded remotely across the world, with members, guests, and session musicians contributing tracks from places as diverse as kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms in Boston, Boulder, Buenos Ares, Dhaka, Los Angeles, Minnesota, San Francisco, and Toronto.
Young animator Drippinked collaborated with the band to create a video for the song "Doura Picchi"
As with all The Attempted Band's music, the EP is available on streaming platforms and free to download on their Bandamp page at http://theattemptedband.bandcamp.com.
The band plans to release all tracks and stems for public use.
