A 14-year-old girl has been gang-raped allegedly by two youths at Bajra union of Sonaimuri upazila in Noakhali.
The incident took place on Thursday evening when the girl was returning home from a nearby shop after buying a mobile recharge card.
Two youths – Abdur Rab, 23 and Ripon, 28, residents of the locality – waylaid her and took her to a nearby paddy field after gagging. Later, they raped her there in turns, with help of another youth - Salauddin, 29.

After the youths had fled the scene, she returned home and disclosed the matter to her mother.
Gias Uddin, officer-in-charge of Sonaimuri Police Station, said the victim's mother filed a case accusing the three youths on Thursday night.
"We're trying to arrest the accused," he said, adding that the victim was sent to Noakhali General Hospital for medical test.
