'Just because we lost the series doesn't mean we lost everything'
Skipper Mominul Haque doesn't think this is the end of the world just because they lost the series, rather he sees a lot of positives to take from it.
Bangladesh suffered a 209-run defeat against Sri Lanka in Kandy and they lost the 2-match Test series 1-0. It was Bangladesh's last WTC league match where they ended their campaign from the bottom of the table.
Skipper Mominul Haque doesn't think this is the end of the world just because they lost the series, rather he sees a lot of positives to take away it.
Mominul was mostly impressed with Taskin Ahmed's consistent bowling in both the Tests. He was also impressed by some individual performances of Shanto, Liton, Taijul.

"Of course, there are a few positives (despite the defeat)", said Mominul after the match.
"Just because we lost the series doesn't mean we lost everything. I know there will be a little criticism, a lot of people will talk about it. But I think there are still some positive to take."
"I think the most important thing which you may have been waiting to see as well if any of its pacers can do something, as you have seen Taskin. He looks much better now than before. He has improved a lot," the skipper added.
"There were a few individual performances as well. Tamim bhai bagged two 90's and one 80+ score. Shanto scored brilliant a 173, Mushfiq bhai and Liton have a half-century to their names. Taijul picked up a five-for."
The toss proved to be vital in the end. Bangladesh skipper admitted in the post-match presentation that they lost the game 50% at the toss.
"I think the most important thing in this Test match was the toss, in my view. First two days there wasn't anything for the bowlers. Almost 50% of the Test match was decided by the toss. We lost this Test in the first innings when we were bowled out for 250," a disappointed Mominul said.
Bangladesh team will now fly back home and start preparing for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka which is scheduled to start later this month. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have already announced a 23-member preliminary squad for the series which will be a part of the ICC's Super League.
