EMK Center holds webinar on professional and leadership skills
Professor Imran Rahman shared his insights on professional and leadership skills at a webinar organised by the EMK Center on 9 May which aims to educate and develop on leadership quality connecting students, youths as well as professionals.
Professor Imran Rahman who is currently the Special Adviser to the Board of Trustees and Dean, School of Business of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, conducted the session. He has over twenty years of teaching experience, including at the Institute for Business Administration and has many years of corporate and institution-building experience. The session was moderated by Asif Uddin Ahmed, Assistant Professor, University of Liberal Arts & Acting Director, EMK Center.
Professor Imran Rahman mentioned the importance of punctuality, commitment, grooming, attire, greeting process, eye contact, courtesy and helpful attitude with his personal life experience. He also asked youths to focus more on developing leadership skills by leading group projects, getting part-time or on-campus jobs, getting involved in volunteering with sheer passion and enthusiasm. He shared hacks and tricks that are needed to acquire to climb up the ladder of leadership and do so while remaining professional at all times.
While discussing, Professor Imran Rahman said, "Leadership quality, critical thinking, innovation skills should be taught from childhood so that youths understand the value of social impact and contribute to society by leading from the front. By practising more good qualities, leadership can be ingrained in mind and character."
EMK Center organised the event in partnership with SkillAid Bangladesh and MBA Program of the University of Liberal Arts.
