Bangladesh take on the second-ranked Netherlands in the gold final match of recurve mixed team event of Archery World Cup stage-2 scheduled to be held tomorrow (Sunday) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

"Alhamdulillah, we have able to reach the mixed team final …. please pray for us so that we can achieve the gold medal in the final. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to sponsor City Group for who's support we have been able to continue our training … it'll not be possible for us to do a good result if they (City Group) would not extend their support …. Inshallah we'll do more good result in future events if they continue their taking care," said Ruman Sana through a video message today.
Diya Siddique said: "Inshallah we'll try to give our best in tomorrow's final match and at the same time I seek blessing to the countrymen so that we can do something good in the final."
German-born Bangladesh archery team's head coach Martin Frederick said: "Tomorrow (Sunday) we have an important day … very happy our mixed team will go for the gold medal match against the Netherlands. So be with us for the gold medal match tomorrow for the Bangladesh team.
Earlier, 17th-ranked Bangladesh beat 16th-ranked Iran 5-3, upset top-ranked Germany 5-1 in the pre-quarterfinal. Bangladesh then defeated Spain by 5-4 set points to reach to the semifinal and finally confirmed their spot in the final for the first time defeating Canada by 5-3 set points in the semifinal.
