HC rejects bail plea of Regent’s Shahed in money laundering case
The High Court has rejected a bail petition of Regent Group Chairman Mohammad Shahed in a case filed against him on charge of money laundering.
The HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Sardar Md Rashed Jahangir passed the order on Monday.
Advocate Fazlur Rahman stood for the petition while advocate Khurshid Alam Khan represented the Anti-Corruption Commission.
On 25 August last year, Ibrahim Hossain, inspector of the Criminal Investigation Department of the police filed the case with Uttara West Police Station accusing Shahed and his associate Parvej of laundering Tk11.2 crore.
