Wes Anderson's 'The French Dispatch' gets a new poster and theatrical release date
The film will tell a sequence of stories from a collection published in the final issue of an American magazine
The French Dispatch has a new poster and a release date, after the announcement that it will premiere at Cannes this summer. Wes Anderson's long-awaited tenth feature film will be released on 22 October, and it comes with a new poster as well.
The film's October release confirms what many had suspected: Searchlight Pictures was planning a fall release in order for the film to be eligible for awards consideration. According to the script, the film will tell a sequence of stories from a collection published in the final issue of an American magazine set in a fictional French city in the 20th century.
It features a diverse cast of new and old actors. It includes Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, and Christopher Waltz which makes this movie Anderson's most expansively ambitious story to date.
Even though we will all have to wait a little longer until October, fans of Anderson will find that the wait was well worth it.
