‘Someone tried to rape and murder me’, says Pori Moni, seeks justice from PM
Actor Shamsunnahar Smrity, popularly known as Pori Moni, on Sunday claimed that someone tried to rape and murder her recently.
Pori Moni took it to Facebook on Sunday evening to post about the incident.
However, she refrained from naming or identifying the perpetrators of the alleged crimes.

"I have been physically abused. Someone tried to rape and kill me. I want justice," she wrote on her Facebook handle.
Pori Moni claimed that although the incident took place about four days ago, nobody from the law enforcement agency came to her help.
She pleaded to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to intervene and serve her justice.
When contacted by The Business Standard, the famed celebrity was in tears.
She said a press briefing will be arranged soon to share the details with the public.
Pori Moni recently was included in Forbes list of "Asia-Pacific's Most Influential Celebrities" on Social Media.
The actor starred in hits like Pagla Deewana, Aro Bhalobashbo Tomay, Lover Number 1, Nagar Mastaan, Mohua Shundori, Amar Mon Jure Tui, Innocent Love, Surprize, Probashi Don, and Bhalobashar Onek Jala. She had been a regular star in television dramas before debuting with Rana Plaza film.
