RMCH Covid unit records 12 more deaths
Among the deceased, three were from Rajshahi, seven from Chapainawabganj, one from Natore and Naogaon respectively
Twelve more people died at the Covid unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
Eight of the deceased were Covid-19 positive while 3 died with Covid symptoms.
Only one died while being Covid-19 negative.
Among the deceased, three were from Rajshahi, seven from Chapainawabganj, one from Natore and Naogaon respectively.
According to the RMCH authority, fifty-eight new patients were admitted in the last 24 hours. Among them, 39 are from Rajshahi, 8 from Chapainawabganj, four from Natore, five from Naogaon and two from Kushtia.
Out of 368 samples tested in two PCR labs in Rajshahi yesterday, 15 were invalid and from the rest of 353 samples, 111 came back positive.
The infection rate was 31.44 percent in Rajshahi, while it was 33.33 percent in Natore. It was 47.25 percent Naogaon and 21.36 percent in Chapainawabganj.
