Bioscope live has started showing "No Couple Entry" from 24 November. The four-part series was shot at Calcutta and includes renowned stars like Afsana Mimi and Orchita Sporshia.
"No Couple Entry" is a quirky story about a cafe with the same name. Usually cafes are swarmed by couples, but this cafe barres entry of anyone but singles. Why? This is the twist that the plot builds upon.
Afsana Mimi portrays the role of Mili, the cafe's owner. She welcomes all the patrons of her cafe with warmth and hospitality. Rima (Sporshia) is one of her regular customers, and Mili can see the shadow of her past self in Rima. But why has the owner barred entry of couples in her cafe, and why does Mili hate couples so much? No one knows. One day, the handsome Tonmoy (Uday) visits the cafe and is instantly attracted to Rima. They want to date, but the "No Couple Entry" cafe would not tolerate them. Rima and Tonmoy start to investigate about the cafe's past and why it doesn't allow couples and eventually unearths the secret of Mili's past.
Gautam Kauri wrote the story, screenplay was written by Riddhi Barua and directed by Sayan Dashgupta. Aside from Afsana Mimi and Sporshia, actors include Calcutta's Kushal Chakrabarti, Sumit Samaddar and Uday Pratap Singh among others. Arnob has come up with a new song for the series, written by Manjurul Shibli. Sung by Arnob and Sunidhi Nayak, the song is presented under the banner of Gaanchill.
