Chattogram’s Parki beach flooded with Malta

The Parki beach in Chattogram's Anowara upazila has been flooded with the fruit Malta.
"We were informed of the matter on Wednesday evening and investigating it," said Sheikh Jobayer Ahmed, executive officer of Anowara upazila.
The locals are assuming that the importers dumped the fruits on the beach as they got rotten in the port's yard or cold storage.

"Someone brought the malta by truck and dumped those at night. Later those got spread to half kilometers of the beach because of the tidal wave," said local people.
"The fruits are rotten, inedible. This can cause environmental pollution," he added.
