Police received the convicts from jail gate. After that, they take the whole responsibilities of them
A committee has been formed to investigate into how Holey Artisan Café attack convict Rakibul Hasan Rigan got the international militant outfit Islamic State's cap, which he was wearing during the verdict.
The committee includes additional inspector general (Prison), Dhaka range deputy inspector general and assistant inspector general.
Brigadier General Mostafa Kamal, inspector general of police (Prison), confirming the matter said, "The incident of wearing IS cap during verdict is unexpected. We will take legal action if any negligence is found."
"Police received the convicts from jail gate. After that, they take the whole responsibilities of them," he added.
The Anti-Terrorism Tribunal today sentenced seven people to death over the gruesome Holey Artisan attack in Dhaka's Gulshan that took place three years ago.
