Bangladesh to get 45 lakh Moderna, Sinopharm vaccines by Saturday
The health minister will receive vaccines at the airport.
Bangladesh will get 45 lakh doses of Moderna and Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines by Saturday, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.
He added that around 12 lakh doses of Moderna vaccine will arrive at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka as part of the first consignment on Friday at 11:20 pm.
On Saturday, Bangladesh will receive 11 lakh doses of Sinopharm vaccine at 12:30 am, 9 lakh doses of the same vaccine at 5 am and another 13 lakh doses of Moderna vaccine at 8:30 pm, the minister said.
Adding that he will be present at the airport to receive the consignments, Zahid Maleque stated, "We will get our hands on 45 lakh doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in total, and after that, we will resume the mass inoculation process."
