Jim Carrey to return as Ace Ventura
The first Ace Ventura movie saw the pet detective go in search of the missing mascot of the Miami Dolphins.
The 57-year-old actor first starred as the goofy detective in 1994's "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and again in "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" in 1995. Both movies were wildly popular so it is no surprise that Jim is said to be in talks with Morgan Creek Productions and Warner Bros – who produced and distributed the first two instalments.
According to We Got This Covered, the plan for a third instalment is only in the discussion stage at this point but Jim is still "interested" nonetheless. We Got This Covered correctly revealed that Bill Murray would return for "Ghostbusters 3" and that a "Scream" reboot was in the works, so there are hopes that Ace Ventura will return to our screens. Adding fuel to the rumours, Morgan Creek Productions appeared to somewhat confirm the news by sharing a link to the story with shifty-eye emojis.

The Ace Ventura character lived on after Jim's starring roles, with three seasons of an animated TV show and then a direct-to-video sequel featuring the character's son. But none lived up to the success of the blockbuster movies.
