EVMs cannot be snatched: EC Kabita Khanam
Election Commissioner (EC) Begum Kabita Khanam today said ballot boxes could be snatched, but there was no chance to snatch Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
She said this during a meeting on law-and-order situation ahead of Chattogram-8 (Chandgaon-Boalkhali) by-polls in the conference room of Chattogram Circuit House.
She directed the officers concerned to perform their duties properly at the field level.

Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Elias Hossain, Superintendent of Police in Chattogram Noor-E-Alam Mina and Regional Election Officer Muhammad Hasanuzzaman were present at the meeting.
Chattogram-8 parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal leader Moinuddin Khan Badal.
The by-polls is scheduled to be held on January 13.
