Compensation sought for victims of Sirajganj train crash
Barrister Humayun sought compensation of Tk1 crore for the families of dead people and Tk10 lakh for injured.
A writ petition has been filed with the High Court on Thursday seeking its directive to compensate the families of the victims of Ullapara train accident in Sirajganj.
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Humayun Kabir Pallab (representative of the Law and Life Foundation) filed the writ on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, a legal notice was served to four persons including the secretary of Railways ministry to disallow un-authorized level crossings across the country.
The notice also asked the authorities concerned to take steps to bar passengers travelling on the roofs of trains.
On July 15, ten people, including a newlywed couple, were killed and more than a dozen injured after Padma Express train hit a microbus at a level crossing in Ullapara, Sirajganj.
