HBO's mind-bending sci-fi drama Westworld returns for its third season this year.
In Season 3, we finally leave the park—though something tells me that's only partly true. When it comes to Westworld, we should never believe our lying eyes. Deception abounds.
HBO announced the Season 3 premiere date over the weekend. Westworld returns on March 15th, 2020. It's being billed by HBO as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth."
Thandie Newton as Maeve, Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard, Tessa Thompson as Charlotte Hale and Ed Harris as the Man in Black all reprise their roles, among many others, though what twists and turns their characters may take remains a mystery. Aaron Paul, of Breaking Bad fame, also stars as a newcomer to the show.
The new trailer shows some of the events that took place between our time and the beginning of the futuristic TV show. It all appears to take place around the year 2058.
