Qrius Lifestyle: Setting new bars in fashion
From clothes to interior décor items, the brand offers a diverse range of products
Brimming with unique designs and shaped by the philosophy of producing high-quality clothes, Qrius, a Dhaka-based lifestyle brand, started its journey in 2019.
Founded by Dekko Group, the brand is a dream project of Shahadat Hossain Kiron, chairman of Dekko group, who wanted to build an honest, new generation brand.
"The lifestyle and fashion statements of the next generation always fascinated our chairman. Hence, he built a brand that delivers local heritage in a modern envelope and named it 'Qrius'," said Bishwajit Roy, chief operating officer of Qrius Lifestyle.
From clothes to interior décor items in ethnic as well as contemporary designs, Qrius offers a diverse range of products for people of all ages.
Apart from a few imported home décor products, everything is designed by in-house designers and produced in their own factory.
Keeping innovation and imagination at heart, Qrius dreams of building a better tomorrow for the fashion industry.
A dedicated research team helps the brand set new bars in fashion. "Our products craft stories, which live through you," added Roy.
Once the fabric selection and sample designs are completed, the designs are then sent to the manufacturing factory for mass production. At present, Qrius has two factories in Savar; one for garment and another for leather products.
Starting with their flagship branch in Banani Road-11, Qrius now has four outlets in Dhaka.
"In the flagship store, we have the whole building to ourselves. There, we kept level 5 open, calling it 'Q gallery', where we organise our seasonal exhibitions," Roy informed us.
Q gallery also serves as a cultural point where local artists are welcomed to showcase their artwork.
Inspired by the richness of local fabrics, Qrius promises to promote the strength of our local fashion industry with exquisite designs and the finest craftsmanship.
Qrius's last exhibition was inspired by the heritage of kantha stitch. The exhibition showcased a winter collection for men and women in four categories – Symphony of Kantha Stitch, Rhythm of Blues, Aesthetic Complexity and Fade in/ Fade out.
The garment section of Qrius is broadly divided into two categories- Modern and Classic. Curated by Chandra Shekhar Saha, chief designer, the classic section aims to uphold the finest, hand-woven fabrics of the country in contemporary designs.
From Dhakai Jamdani to Rajshahi Silk, Qrius has worked with all handloom fabrics and tried to give them a new identity.
Jamdani shari is one of the best selling items of the brand. "If you visit our outlets, you would see the diversity we have in our Jamdani collection, that too at a reasonable price," added Roy.
In Roy's words, unique designs and affordability make Qrius stand out from other brands. "From a Tk500 T-shirt to a shari worth Tk50,000, we have products of all price ranges," he said.
