Pakistan announce squad for first Test against Bangladesh
The squad sees off-spinner Bilal Asif and pace-bowling allrounder Faheem Ashraf return to the side in place of Kashif Bhatti and Usman Shinwari.
Pakistan have announced their 16-man squad for the first Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi in the second phase of the three-phased series between the sides.
The squad sees off-spinner Bilal Asif and pace-bowling allrounder Faheem Ashraf return to the side in place of Kashif Bhatti and Usman Shinwari.
"Kashif Bhatti has paved the way for Bilal Asif considering there are left-handed batsmen in the Bangladesh top and middle-order, while Faheem Ashraf has been preferred over Usman Shinwari due to his all-round abilities," Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq said in a PCB media release.
The first Test between the sides will commence on February 7 and the last phase of the series will be in April following the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
