SSC, equivalent exams for over 20 lakh pupils begin tomorrow
No smartphones will be allowed inside the exam centres and only the secretary of the centre will be allowed to use a feature phone
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin tomorrow across the country.
This year, a total of 20,47,779 students from 28,884 institutions will sit the examinations at 3,512 test centres all over the country.
The examinations will start at 10am and end at 1pm.

The examinees must enter their respective exam halls 30 minutes before the exam starts. Those arriving after that will have to sign a register book to enter the exams centres.
However, once the exams start, no students will be allowed to enter the halls.
Moreover, No smartphones will be allowed inside the exam centres. Only the secretary of the exam centre will be allowed to use a feature phone.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will visit the Tejgaon Government Girls High School centre at 9:30am.
She told The Business Standard yesterday, "We have taken all the preparations to hold the examinations smoothly. We want cooperation from all quarters, including guardians and teachers."
"There is no chance to leak the question papers. Guardians and students should not pay heed to the question paper leak rumours," she said.
In compliance with the minister's January 16 order, all coaching centres were closed for a month – from January 25 to February 25 – ahead of the board examinations.
She said at the time, "There are many coaching centres in the country, including some for O-level and A-level examinees. There are also coaching centres for learning English, BCS preparations and university admissions."
"It would have been much easier if they were separate entities. But in most cases, different coaching is offered under the same roof. For this, all coaching centres must remain closed for a month," added Dipu Moni.
This year, around 16.35 lakh candidates will sit the SSC examinations under nine general education boards, while 2.81 lakh students will take Dakhil tests under the madrasah education board.
There are 1.31 lakh vocational exam candidates under the technical education board.
Besides, 342 students will take the tests abroad.
