Bangladesh lost the wickets of Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Mahmudullah Riyad and Liton Das in the session on their way to scoring 77 runs in the session.
Bangladesh started their post-lunch session on 95-3 and were struck an immediate blow as the well-set Shanto was sent back by Mohammad Abbas. Shanto chased a wide delivery but only managed to hand wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan an easy catch to go back on 44.
Mahmudullah did not last long either. He too, like Shanto, tried to play a wide delivery from Shaheen Shah Afridi and Asad Shafiq took a great catch at third slip to send back the Bangladesh T20I skipper for 25.
After that, Mithun put up a good stand with Liton Das which showed Bangladesh hopes of reaching a reasonable total. Liton looked in touch as he hit some crisp boundaries but he was gone at the stroke of tea for 33. Liton attempted a sweep off Haris Sohail and missed, but the umpire called it not out. Pakistan reviewed and replays showed that the ball was hitting the stumps. Hence, Liton's innings ended prematurely.
Mithun and Taijul saw off the rest of the session as Bangladesh reached 172-6 by the end of it. Shaheen was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers with three wickets whereas Abbas picked up two.
