Arrest warrant issued against DIG Mizan’s wife, brother
The court also set March 3 to submit a report on executing the order to arrest the two accused
A court here today issued a warrant to arrest wife and brother of suspended deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Mizanur Rahman in a graft case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayes passed the order, issuing warrants to arrest Sohelia Anar Rotna and DIG Mizan's brother Mahbubur Rahman as the court accepted charge sheet filed against them.
The court also set March 3 to submit a report on executing the order to arrest the two accused.
ACC director Monjur Morshed on January 30 filed the charge sheet against four, DIG Mizanur Rahman, his wife Rotna, brother Mahbubur Rahman and nephew Mahmudul Hasan.
The anti-graft body on June 24, 2019, filed the case against four, concealing information about the wealth of Taka 3.07 crore and amassing illegal wealth of Taka 3.28 crore.
