Govt to allow exporting rawhide from this year
A five-member special committee was formed and asked to submit a report in next seven days about the necessary steps needed in this regard
The government will allow the tanners to export rawhide starting from the next Eid-ul-Adha to prevent the disarray around it, said the Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun.
Speaking at a press briefing at his Ministry, Nurul Majid also said that the provisions regarding the export law of rawhide will be amended, if required.
However, a five-member special committee, led by an additional secretary, was formed and asked to submit a report in next seven days about the necessary steps needed in this regard.
However, any internal solution to this problem was also advised to mention in the report.
