Former state minister Advocate Rahmat Ali passed away at a hospital in the city on Sunday morning.
Rahmat Ali, 76, the advisory committee member of Awami League, breathed his last in the capital's Square Hospitals at 7:35am.
Reportedly, he was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure or kidney diseases for long.
Rahmat Ali was also the former member of parliament to Gazipur-3 constituency.
