Bank Alfalah, MRDI provide water tanks for 100 women
The water tanks will provide safe water to 570 members of their families as well as ensure healthy life and decent living for them
Bank Alfalah and Management and Resources Development Initiative (MRDI) provided water tanks for 100 marginalised women in the country's Sundarbans area.
The two organisations jointly conducted the programme under corporate social responsibility schemes so that the people in those areas could improve their living standards, said a press release issued yesterday.
The water tanks were distributed among the members of Women Samity in three villages of this coastal area.

This programme will provide safe water to 570 members of the service receivers' families. Previously, the Bank Alfalah provided such tanks to 140 families of those villages, said the press release.
Country Head of the Bank Alfalah Ehsan Ul Haq Qureshi said, "We want to support the people of the remote Sundarbans villages so that they could save their life and improve their health."
MRDI's Executive Director Hasibur Rahman said, "This is a good example of CSR making a real change. If planned and implemented properly, CSR can make more such changes."
