ACC to look into how DNCC get its mosquito insecticides
To find out if there had been any corruption in mosquito insecticides procurement, the country’s anti-corruption watchdog has begun an investigation.
An Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) team has got its hand on tender documents between 2015 and 2019.
The team found that only Limit Agro Products Limited has been supplying mosquito insecticides to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) for the last four years.
In January this year, however, the DNCC gave work order to Nicon Limited for importing mosquito insecticides.
The ACC team’s investigation report will be submitted to the commission, said a press release on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, the ACC received an allegation through its hotline 106. “A special group is controlling mosquito insecticide import,” said the complaint.
