63 including judge and ADC in Barishal under home quarantine
The district judge and additional district commissioner of Barishal both returned from abroad recently
District judge of Barishal Md Rafiqul Islam and additional district commissioner Prasant Kumar have been advised to stay in home quarantine for 14 days. Both of them returned from abroad recently. A total of 63 people at Barishal are in home quarantine now.
The district judge of Barishal Md Rafiqul Islam went to Australia for a training session and came back on Tuesday. The additional district commissioner, Prasant Kumar had gone to India.
Public prosecutor of Barishal district court, A K M Jahangir confirmed this information. He said, "District judge MD Rafiqul Islam returned to duty at court on Wednesday morning. He went into home quarantine after his duties ended that day. He will be under observation for the whole time."
The district commissioner of Barishal, S M Ajior Rahman informed The Business Standard that Additional District Commissioner Prasant Kumar returned from India on 16th March. He was put on home quarantine from Wednesday.
Dr. Monowar Hossain, District Civil surgeon of Barishal said, "Sixty three Bangladeshis returned home from abroad upto noon on Wednesday, and they are all under observation."
Dr. Monowar Hossain also said that almost 3,500 Bangladeshis returned home in the last few days. Some of them are in Dhaka and the others have returned to their homes in other parts of the country. The health department is trying to keep them all under observation.
