Sajida Foundation to provide 10,000 personal protective equipments
According to the agreement, the 50-bed Sajida Hospital in Narayanganj will be prepared as a quarantine and treatment centre for the patients infected with COVID-19
In a bid to curb the spread of epidemic coronavirus (COVID-19), Sajida Foundation in partnership with Renata Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), incorporating a provision of providing 10,000 Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) for health service providers across the country.
In the presence of Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque, DGHS Director General Professor Abul Kalam Azad and SAJIDA Foundation Chief Executive Officer Zahida Fizza Kabir signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides, said a press release here today.
Secretary of the Health Services Asadul Islam, and Senior Secretary of the Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry Helal Uddin Ahmad were also present at the MoU signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, the 50-bed Sajida Hospital in Narayanganj will be prepared as a quarantine and treatment centre for the patients infected with COVID-19.
The centre will be run jointly by DGHS and Sajida Foundation in partnership with Renata Limited.
It will be equipped with proper ICU and dialysis facilities. The DGHS will provide all the technical and capacity building services and supervise the activities at the hospital.
