Police searching for 35 Bangladeshi expats in Barguna
Among the 737 expatriates, 632 are kept in home quarantine in Barguna district and 105 are kept in quarantine outside of the district
Barguna police are searching for 35 expatriates, who returned to Bangladesh from March 3 to March 21, amid the fears of coronavirus.
Additional Police Superintendent of Barguna Tofayel Ahmed said, "772 Bangladeshi expatriates returned to Barguna from different countries during the time. We identified 737 people among them. But we could not identify other 35. So several police teams of the district are searching for them."
Among the 737 expatriates, 632 are kept in home quarantine in Barguna district and 105 are kept in quarantine outside of the district, he added.
According to Civil Surgeon office of Barguna, 232 Bangladeshi expatriate are in home quarantine in the district. One is kept in isolation at Barguna General Hospital.
Civil Surgeon of Barguna Dr Humayun Shahin Khan said, "We collected the information from health department staff. So our information shown some inconsistency with the information of police."
